Details & Specs

The ChargeMaster Combo features the ChargeMaster 1500 Scale and ChargeMaster Dispenser, preassembled to form an unmatched combination of speed and accuracy. There is no longer a need for timely calibration to the type of powder being used. Simply fill the 1-plus-pound capacity hopper with smokeless powder, enter the desired charge and press the dispense button. Average dispensing time is less than 30 seconds for a 60-grain extruded powder charge. It carries a one-year limited warranty. Note: Do NOT use with black powder.

  • Combines the ChargeMaster 1500 Scale and ChargeMaster Dispenser
  • Accurately weighs and dispenses all extruded (stick), ball (spherical) and flake smokeless powder from 2.0 to 300 grains; accurate to +/- 0.1 grain
  • 1-pound powder hopper capacity
  • Dispenses in grains or grams mode
  • Stores up to 30 loads in memory for fast, easy recall
  • The front-to-back layout allows easy access to the scale pan by right- or left-handed users
  • The clear cover eliminates fluctuations caused by air currents without obscuring their view of the charge
  • The powder drain allows for convenient emptying of the powder hopper
RCBS Chargemaster Dispenser and Scale - 110 Volt is rated 4.4615 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, accurate tool! I reload for several rifle and pistol cartridges. Set up I found was easy. I especially like the recall feature to pull up the cartridge I want to load for and have all the data for that load right there. I have done the straw tweek and I do believe it helps with not getting an overcharge. I have not done a reprogram to speed it up as of yet and I may not at all. I find the default speed is at about my pace. Have dropped charges for 7mm mag,270 win.,243 win.,223 rem.,357 sig,40 s&w,45 acp, and 380 auto using several different powders with little trouble. Would not go back to dispenser and balance scale. The only drawback I find is getting all the powder out of the machine after you are done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best powder charger on the market. After reading reviews I decided to pull the trigger and buy the RCBS Chargemaster. Natchez had the best price and also the best customer service. Had a glitch with the charger that even RCBS was unable to walk me thru for a fix. And they had none in stock to replace it for at least 2 weeks. I called Natchez and was told they had tons in stock and to return it,they also paid for the return shipping. In no time I had a replacement and I was in business. Thank you Natchez. You have a repeat customer. David in Wisconsin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from How Much is Your Time Worth? I was beam scale and powder trickler guy, but I thought I would give the Chargemaster a try. Yes, it's question about that. However, the simplicity of use and ease of setup make this purchase worthwhile. Out of the box this unit was easy to have throwing charges on the bench in a matter of minutes. I use several powders and all meter well including Varget. After my initial calibration I cross-checked each throw against my 505 beam scale. All were dead-on, so I quit checking after 50 rounds. I still randomly cross-check for peace of mind, but I have yet to find an innacurate dump. The only downside is the fact that the dispensing tube could be overhauled. On occasion the system will thrown an overcharge by 0.1, mostly using Varget. The rifled tube will cause Varget granules to dump more than what is needed to meet the specified charge. This would happen about five times in 50 throws. Google the "McDonald straw trick" and you'll have a very reliable system for an extremely inexpensive fix. There are several guys out there making machined inserts for this specific purpose, and I now have one of those that fit the unit perfectly. A trip over to Sniper's Hide will get you fixed up. My powder over-throw problems are now a thing of the past. This is my ONLY complaint. My suggestion: RCBS...develop an in-house fix. Over all this thing is a real time-saver. By the time I seat a bullet my next charge is ready for a dump into the case. I was fairly proficient with a powder dump and trickler, but I would say the Chargemaster makes a tedious task enjoyable. Furthermore, proficiency jumps close to 100% when you develop a routine. It's just a question of how much your time is worth? Buy the RCBS Chargemaster and you'll pack the beam scale in the attic.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beats hand charging Unit runs on 9v and draws less than 40mA, buy this and a ACDC transformer to 9v 1000mA from your local electronics store and you're set no matter what country you're in. Still struggles not to overcharge with long ADI powders such as 2209 though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RCBS Chargemaster 1500 - Great product! I purchased my RCBS Chargemaster 1500 several years ago from Natchez and have been very happy with it ever since. I was able to take advantage of a $50.00 RCBS rebate and free S/H which made it much more economical to purchase. I use my Chargemaster for .45 ACP, 45 Colt, 38 Special. .357 Magnum, .223 Remington and .308 Winchester. Occassionaly I will get an overcharge of .1 grain depending on what powder I am using. I replaced the original RCBS aluminum powder pan with the RCBS black plastic funnel powder pan. No more bouncing around of the fine spherical powders. Makes filling each case much easier / cleaner to perform too. I randomly check my charge weights with a RCBS 5-0-5 beam scale and they are always true. My Chargemaster 1500 has made my reloading sessions more productive and consistently more accurate. Allows more time for case prep and careful bullet seating. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is serious about achieving accurate, consistent reloads. The instructions do warn about not letting the unit freeze (storage / transporting) because it can ruin the load cell.

Is RCBS honoring the mail-in rebate even though the price is $289 right now and not $300?

Asked by: mhubes7
The $50 rebate is for $300 total in RCBS merchandise. You'll need to purchase at least $11 more of RCBS products ($300 or more) to get the $50 rebate amount.
