I got one of these recently to use on an electronic scale. First, I like that it is considerably lighter then the metal pan which comes with an RCBS scale (90-something grains as opposed to 140-something grains). This allows for a heavier powder charge before reaching the scale's limit. As with seemingly all powder pans, getting the static charge eliminated can be a bit troublesome. But, after a couple of washings with liquid detergent, and a few wipes with a dryer sheet, I got rid of most of it. You may, or may not, have this problem. The funnel portion seems to fit pretty much any case I have around, and it seals off nicely. And, the double handles are nice, offering options in how you hold the pan. My only issue is that I cannot get the end of my powder drop tube all the way to the bottom of the pan, due to interference between the measure and the upper edge of the funnel. This causes powder to hit the slick bottom of the pan and flow up the sides, into the pour spout, and even into the funnel area, sometimes losing quite a few kernels in the process. I have tried about every contortion I can think of to keep the powder in the pan, but am still not 100% confident in the process. I may try to trim the unit a little for clearance, or I may have to find a longer drop tube for the measure. I'm sure something can be done to help the situation.Date published: 2015-09-25
