Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best! This is the best, most rugged, best value press you can buy. Period. I don't see how they can make a quality machine like this and sell it so cheaply. The powder measure is accurate and precise every time. It holds it's setting. The press itself operates as smoothly as a well tuned sewing machine. I bought this to replace a Hornady Projector that was damaged in an F5 tornado. It actually still works but I wanted to upgrade. I'm not even sure a reentry into earth's atmosphere would destroy one of these. You won't be sorry if you buy one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid construction, simple operation. It works. I got tired of tinkering with another red progressive press and decided to try Hornady. I've loaded about 1,500 rounds with the LnL and it works great. It's simplicity makes it easy to adjust and get it running smoothly. Keep the shell plate adjusted properly and it will run. At the advice of others, upon initial setup, I put a lock washer on the bolt that holds the shell plate down. There is a sweet spot in the shell plate tension - not too tight, not too lose. I think this is the secret to make this press great. The powder measure is the best I've ever used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great service and press This press is great and really easy to get working. The large powder measure rotor was poorly machined, but I was able to have it replaced quickly and freely. the press worked great for 4-500 rounds before I had an issue with a small part breaking on the primer feed system. Again they sent a part out right away. I am very pleased with press and impressed with customer service. I think the powder measure should have been found and fixed before shipment but given a second chance they came through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Reloading Press I like this press it is easy to set-up and use and seems very well built, my only complaint and it it not about the press. I wish when your buying it it would give you a list of shell plates to choose from that way you don't forget about them.

What do I have to purchase to start loading Hornady progressive  Does it come with a shell plate

Asked by: Petie
Several things are needed to get started. Dies and a Shell Plate. You will also need all the components to make the ammunition. See the reference chart below: I highly suggest doing research and even speaking to an "old timer" either at a gun shop or at a gun show. They are a wealth of information and can save you time and headaches.

Are the shell plates used with this press the same as what was used on the older "Projector" press?
