Speed and efficiency save time and money. With the introduction of the Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge Powder Dispenser, they have combined both in one extremely accurate system. This unit is quick to setup, easy to use, and exceptionally precise to within 0.1 grains, and has a scale capacity of 1000 grains - and designed to be much easier to use than the competition.

An easy-to-use keypad coupled with a large, easy-to-read backlit display, automatic & manual dispense options, trickle function, three speed settings, overcharge protection, and easy clean out make this the single most effective powder measure on the market. When it comes to the competitors, there aren’t any who measure up!

Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge Powder Dispenser - 1000 gr is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money! I haven't been reloading for too long, a little over a year now. I used this machine while loading some 45 ACP using Unique powder. I was able to adjust both the timing of the trickle and the speed of the trickle. After just one adjustment of each, the dispenser was spot on. I checked about every third load against my RCBS 505 balance beam scale and found each to be perfect. I'm, looking forward to seeing how the machine performs with Reloder 15, but I'm not expecting any issues. The machine made the whole process much faster and easier to complete. With just this one use, I feel pretty good about this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty simple to use This is my 2nd Hornady Lock-N-Load auto charge powder dispenser. The first finally gave out after many years of service. I like it as it is pretty simple to use. It isn't perfect and I "always" double check each measurement with a digital scale. Most of the tine it reasonably accurate, on or 1 tenth of a grain off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good deal Used for maybe 500 reloads so far. This has been easy to use and accurate. I have noticed it depends on the powder you use. CFE233 is hard to use in the machine and usually over throws even on the slowest speed. This can be fixed using the straw method. Check youtube for the fix, no big deal really. IMR 4064 and win 748 throw with no problems. For 24gr of CFE 223 I can throw and seat around 100 per hour. At first I was re weighing every load on my beam scale to verify. I did not buy one for several years as I read the horror stories posted by other users. This was on sale for $170, so I took the plunge. I should have bought one years ago. Don't forget to close the drain before you go to fill. Learned that the hard way. Only thing I have to complain about is that it will not use all the powder. There is quite a gap between the feeder and the bottom of the unit. I'd guess at 1/2 ounce. Small price to pay for the time it saves.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to work well Picked this up on sale, worked really well on fine powders like HS-6 or 4227. With heavy extruded powder it was consistently throwing over regardless of speed. After reading through loading forums, I discovered a guy on Ebay turning Lil brass reducers for rcbs powder dispensers. After putting the reducer in, I was getting consistent +/- .01 grain. I used a Lyman digital dispenser for years and like the Hornady units ease of cleaning and less chance of flakes getting lodge in the scale. For the money, plus a Lil research I'm pretty happy with this unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why would I need to check it? I read all the reviews how people would re-check periodic loads. Can't understand that. The hornady auto loader and scale was perfect everything. Just watching it work and looking into the brass was good enough for me. Buy it, it's a no-brainer

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works great Works perfectly every time, the only reason for 4/5 stars is that it is a pain to change powders but they do supply a handy long handled brush to dust all the powder to the drain plug, great value compared to the rcbs for 90% of reloaders but you do get what you paid for if you are going for match grade accuracy on the faster settings, just take your time and it will deliver consistent loads every time for $100 less than the competition. Solid product
