  • Tight Wall Concentricity
  • Concentricity helps to ensure proper bullet seating in both the case and the chamber of your firearm. Higher concentricity also aids in a uniform release of the bullet on firing for optimal velocity and accuracy.
  • Uniform Case Wall Thickness
  • Benchrest shooters have long known that uniform case wall thickness is vital to accuracy. We manufacture to extremely tight tolerances to ensure this critical element is as consistent as possible.
  • More Reloads per Case
  • We treat Hornady brass as the foundation for an accurate cartridge, not a commodity. Because we take greater care in its creation you

    .444 Marlin

Hornady Unprimed Brass Rifle Cartridge Cases 50/ct .444 Marlin is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good brass, but with a few problems I know nickel brass is harder and less prone to deforming, but didn't want to deal with full length resizing nickel, and also think you generally get more loads out of brass. (Nickel case mouths seems to be more brittle and crack sooner). Everyone seems to prefer Remington for this caliber, but Hornady is good quality brass. This was well packed by Natchez, but 10 of the 50 pieces had the case mouths dented bad enough that they had to be straightened out by hand with a mandrel before resizing, or the resizing die would ruin the case. After full length resizing the brass deformation is still slightly visible. 4 of the 10 had actual nicks in the brass in addition to the dents, and that can't be fixed. This was irritating only because the Hornady packaging says that they were "hand inspected" which is clearly not the case. Obviously a machine at the Hornady factory chewed them up. Natchez wasn't responsible for this, the package from the factory was pristine, and well-packed by Natchez. Natchez was great, and provided me the number for Hornady. I called them and they promised to sent a dozen replacement cases, but it's been two weeks and they haven't arrived yet; just kind of a PITA to deal with it to get what I paid for. Straight walled cases with wide mouths like .444 and .45-70 are more prone to getting dented than bottleneck cases, but this amount (20% of the lot) was a bit much, and the nicked case mouths are beyond that. The 40 undamaged cases look great, but I think next time I'll try and find some Remington. Always trust Natchez for best price and selection though.
