Lee Classic Turret Press Kit is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal for the first timer Not quite all you need to get started but most. After months of reading and rereading loading books, I took the next step. As a novice to this hobby personally I would criticize the limited set up directions, they really do not tell you much, and no direction on how to set up the attachments. That aside, once I figured it all out, the press is a pleasure to work with. I expected a long learning period, but to my surprise with the kit and the Modern Reloading book that came with it, within a few days my first few demo rounds were made. I am confident that come this weekend I will have enough ammo to have a fun range day.,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and easy for first timer I purchased my Lee Classic Turret kit about three years ago. Never reloaded before, did my research found Lee's reloading kit was great for beginners, at lease for me. Instruction simple to understand in setting up. Lee's reloading book that comes with the kit has great information on how to reload and useful information on what to expect in reloading, the do's and don'ts. If your are a beginner do the research before buying a expensives one, which are fine. As you gain more experience then go to those type of press later. With Lee's press as a starter you won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great experience I never reloaded before and this press was the best thing to start out with. all though it does rotate by cycling the arm I took out the rotate rod and do them one at a time. this way you have three dies and open hole on the 4 hole turret I use it to Prim the cases. Just love this press the Lee Classic Turret Press kit is the way to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well I bought this as a press kit. I'm about 1200 rounds and 3 calibers into using this gem. It is a great improvement over my single stage press, in terms of ease and efficiency. I have dies from several manufacturers, but with 4 stages, the ideal setup is with the Lee Deluxe Pistol 4-die set, or by 3-die rifle sets finished with the Lee Factory Crimp die. I love this press overall, and in fact, I agree with Lee that it is the best press if you can have only one. But since this is a review, I feel compelled to tell the whole story. The press has worked very well, but far from perfectly. The primer feed works generally well, but is flimsy and fails to feed now and then, or misfeeds and the primer falls to the floor. The turret occasionally over-rotates and misaligns to the die, and the case or bullet point may be damaged as the ram is raised. The powder dispenser is held to the turret by two brass, hand-tightened nuts that require frequent re-tightening and tuning. There is a rod in the center that acts like a worm gear to advance the turret. It has four sides to correlate with the four holes in the turrets. I have looked for but been unable to find 3-hole turrets for this press. A 3- or 6-sided rod matched to a 3-hole turret would solve the issue for rifle where crimping is not needed, and that would eliminate 25% of the handle pulls. I have bought a lot of reloading stuff in the last 5 years, from many manufacturers. I love Lee for their simple, efficient, no-nonsense, innovative designs/approach. They make stuff well enough to last a lifetime, and stand behind it. I would buy this kit again

Would I be able to load 300 mg and 7-30 water and 45,44mg,9mm with this reloader

Asked by: rth470

I currently have the 50th anniv, let quick change. I'm looking to not have to change dies ofen. Will this reload my rifle dies? You mentioned plates to reload rifle rounds?? Why? What are they for? I have a hand held primer& load powder seperatly.

Does this need the riser for the powder measure when using the safety prime?
