Details & Specs

Looking at what competitors offer, Nosler Sporting Handgun Revolver Bullets are a clear choice for hunters and target shooters who demand consistency, accuracy, and high quality. These bullets are produced using state-of-the-art automated machinery followed by being hand inspected and polished to perfection.

The tapered copper alloy jacket is extremely concentric and built for maximum accuracy plus game shooting ability. In addition, the bullets feature a well-defined cannelure that holds the jacket and core together while allowing a tight crimp to eliminate movement of the bullet in its case. It also provides reliable expansion for a range of velocities.

Nosler Sporting Handgun Revolver Bullets .44 cal .429" 200 gr JHP 250/ct is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Insufficient Cannelure Bought these based on my previous experience with Nosler bullets. When I loaded my first 6 test pieces, I could not get the crimp to form as expected. The case could not "yield" to the crimp die. The length was exactly to Nosler's spec, and the cannelure was correctly located relative to the case mouth. So, I looked at another sample of the bullet. The cannelure, while visible, was virtually non-existent. It could barely be felt with a fingernail. Measuring the diameter of the cannelure showed it to be only about 0.002" deep at the deepest point, which is not exactly where the crimp occurs. upon firing the first 4 rounds, I pulled the last 2 out of the cylinder and my worst suspicions were confirmed; the bullets had "jumped" crimp under recoil, between 0.015 & 0.020" from original seating depth. Natchez, thankfully, allowed me to return them for refund. I will switch back to my preferred Sierra or Hornady, which have measurably deeper cannelures. Kudos to Natchez, but shame on Nosler for letting this happen.
