Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shooter, I missed that it was lead I’ve been a big fan of PPU ammo for a long while. Whether it’s the match grade ammo for my .308 that shoots almost as well as my handloads or these for my Smith and Wesson. I just wish that I had bought the brass version, because the lead makes cleanup take longer.

So if it's Lead Round Nose, it doesn't have a copper jacket, otherwise it's a Jacketed Round Nose, JRN. Remington 38 Spl 158 Gr LRN only has 755 F/S compared with PPU 902 F/S. Is this ammo +P? Can it be used in a aluminum S&W J frame 38 Spl (NON-+P)?

Asked by: Joe at Camp Pendleton
This is 158 grain lead round nose ammunition not +p ammunition

Are the .38 Spl. cartridges made of brass? If not, what materials are used to make them?

Asked by: BigTrumpetMan
Yes the cartridge cases are brass and the bullet is a lead core with copper jacket.
